The film follows Will and several people in his life as they confront the ways their past experiences—loss, addiction, injury, failed relationships, family responsibilities, and unrealized dreams—continue to shape their present.

The story moves between intimate conversations, dreamlike imagery, home-video footage, stop motion animation, and symbolic visual motifs. Rather than following a straightforward plot, the film uses these encounters to explore how people lose and rediscover their sense of purpose.
